We are with you in this pandemic

In recent months, thousands of COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Singapore every day, affecting many people's lives in the process. Tzu Chi Singapore promptly launched the "Care report, Trace support" working model to provide customised care and support for care recipients or family members in need, accompanying them through this difficult period.

Tzu Chi care recipient, Kamariah : We feel very worried because my son got infected by the COVID. We also feel very scared.

Charity Development Manager, Goh Leay Ying: There are currently three care recipients who have unfortunately passed away due to COVID-19

During this period of "co-existing with COVID-19", Tzu Chi Singapore has launched a number of care programmes. In addition to distributing nearly 700 COVID-19 Protective Care Packs to all care households, the organisation also launched the "Care report, Trace support" working model at the end of September.

Charity Development Manager, Goh Leay Ying: For disadvantaged families, they are already facing a lot of pressure in life. (We) hope that in our care of these families, we can do it in a timelier manner.

Each COVID-19 Relief Care Pack is a blessing to the infected care recipients. At the same time, Tzu Chi Singapore also provides customised support to needy care recipients.

Tzu Chi care recipient, Kamariah: Suddenly on the spot, we cannot go out already.

Due to the eldest son's confirmation of infection, Kamariah's family was given a 10-day quarantine order. Other than worrying about her son's health, the family had also run out of food.

Tzu Chi Volunteer, Lim Hong Leng: I really felt for them. We just decided to do what we could, which was to help them buy some daily necessities. They also needed the Antigen Rapid Test (ART) kits, so we arranged for them to be delivered to her home as soon as possible.

Tzu Chi care recipient, Kamariah: They will call us every day to ask (about) our conditions. We are very appreciative. At least like, not so stressed about facing the COVID.

Under this pandemic situation, Tzu Chi Singapore remains committed to guarding the lives of the care recipients and accompanying them through every storm.
