Volunteers help Heart Failure Patient Declutter for Better Living Quality
"If you have not been using an item for three years, you should throw it away", and "No pain, no gain".
Everyone understands the idea of decluttering, but not everyone could fully practise it in life.
Mr Lee, an 85-year-old palliative patient, said everything in his home carries memories of his life. For the sake of his health, he could only suppress the pain in his heart and accept the advice of the medical staff to carry out major decluttering and home cleaning.
Aware of Lee's mixed feelings, the volunteers and medical staff were extra careful in caring for Lee's emotions and feelings during the clean-up process.
After overcoming the pain of parting with his old belongings, the result was a cleaner, brighter and more comfortable home environment for Lee.
