Tzu Chi holds Online Sign Language Competition to promote Eco Awareness
Tzu Chi Teachers’ Association and Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre jointly organised an online sign language competition with a theme on environmental protection. Participated by twelve groups of students from five schools, the competition had to be conducted online due to Covid restrictions. Teachers and students spent months rehearsing and making the videos to be presented at the awards ceremony, where everyone witnessed the results of their collective efforts.

Songs which conveyed eco awareness messages were paired with neat sign language performances and made into videos to be showcased at the awards ceremony, presenting the efforts of both teachers and students in the past few months.

A total of twelve groups from five schools have participated in the competition. Although the rehearsal and recording process were challenging due to the pandemic, there were much to gain.
