Trinity of Goodness Programme Launches with the Aim of Developing Good Children

“Small animals” gather, but where are they going? They are heading towards the Trinity of Goodness! In the coming month, the children of Tzu Chi Great Love PreSchool will go through various activities such as learning to take care of their bodies, speeches and minds through exercising, speaking kind words, learning to meditate, making good wishes, and eating more vegetables. This will help groom them into lovable children imbued with the three good deeds. Are you interested in taking on this challenge too?

The cute “little animals” were gathered at the Tzu Chi Great Love PreSchool, ready to head towards the Trinity of Goodness!

What are the Trinity of Goodness?

Children: Do good deeds

Children: Say good words

Children: We have to think about good things

Teong Yee Fen, Preschool teacher: The Trinity of Goodness programme mainly aim to promote the three good deeds, that is, body, speech and mind. This is to allow the children to learn to do good with their bodies, speeches and minds. We also combine reading to promote this. There are so many types of content and pictures in picture books which children can learn from them to better understand why they want to do this and to discover the reasons behind.

In addition to exercising and learning to meditate, the children also tried planting. They not only have to give the plant the nutrients it needs, but they must also let their plant grow happily.

Children: This is amaranth, I have to say to it, “You are beautiful, faster grow up”

Children: I want to say to it, “I love you, I like you very much”

Children: We have to utter good words to it so that it will grow up.

Billy, Preschool teacher: We will also speak kind words to the plants, and we will do experiments and observe the outcome of it. We will also talk about how good words affect the plants, as well as people.

In the next month, the children will learn to practice the three good deeds through various activities, and they are also feeling very confident about it.

I can do it!
