TIMA partners with local church to offer health screenings for the homeless

Yio Chu Kang Chapel is one of the community-based Safe Sound Sleeping Places (S3P) set up by the Singapore government to provide homeless individuals with a safe place to sleep at night. During the Eid al-Fitr festive holiday, members of the Tzu Chi International Medical Association (TIMA), in collaboration with Bless Community Services and the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), organised a friendship bazaar and health screening for nearby low-income families and rough sleepers at the Chapel. Besides receiving Uniqlo clothing and enjoying warm meals, those who came could also underwent basic health checks provided by TIMA. The event aimed to offer the homeless comfort and a sense of care from the community.
