Making Waves is a movement initiated by migrant worker organisation SAMA SAMA, Dormitory Association of Singapore Ltd (DASL), artists and civic organisations. Its aim is to bring migrant worker issues closer to the community through artistic displays in different places. Various murals have already been erected in different parts of Singapore, one of which is at the Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre in Yishun. This 18m wide and 6.2m high giant mural brings out the sentiments of mutual support between people, hoping that those who come to view the mural can also feel the human touch behind.
