Going the extra mile to give care and support
Zhang Ming who hails from China had chosen to become a nurse when she was young due to her family’s financial condition. After working as a nurse for a period of time, she came to Singapore to continue her studies in nursing. In 2018, she switched her profession to practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine. Zhang who has been busy working for a long time felt lost in life despite making some money. After coming into contact with Tzu Chi International Medical Association, she rediscovered her passion to work as a medical practitioner. Although she could not find time to participate in many volunteer activities, she practices loving kindness in her work and life. Because of this, she found the happiness she had been missing for a long time.
Patient interview：I am really grateful and really thankful for your help; you are such a wonderful doctor. You know, I have grown to love you. The word that I said to you now is not even enough (to describe) how I see you, is like no word can express how I feel in my heart for you. Dr. Zhang is not just a doctor, she has become a family, also like a friend (to me), so I am grateful for this.
