Exploring Sustainability at FutureChina Global Forum 2019
The 10th FutureChina Global Forum held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Marina Bay Sands discussed the new global business landscape and the promotion of sustainable development. Tzu Chi Singapore was invited to the event for the first time to speak at the FutureChina Youth Forum about its Missions of International Disaster Relief and Environmental Protection. The NGO hoped to inspire youths to take the initiative to help promote sustainable development and work for the greater good.

The 10th FutureChina Global Forum gathered business leaders, investors, academic experts, etc. to exchange ideas on how to put sustainable development into action. This event was divided into several sections, and Tzu Chi Singapore was invited for the first time to send a speaker to its Youth Forum.
Asst. Mgr. of Biz China, Lim Wen Xin : This theme matches with Tzu Chi’s spirit and philosophy, so does our mission. Our theme says “Starts from Youth”, and Tzu Chi talks about keeping clean at the source, which is very much in line with our theme.
Everybody plays a role in protecting the environment. Do not pass up a good deed just because it seems insignificant and never do an unwholesome deed even if it seems trivial.
The topic of the Youth Forum revolved around the role of modern youths in relation to sustainable development for the current and future society.
HOD at Tzu Chi Singapore, Beh Keng Hua : What we’re share today is mainly on environmental protection, because it closely relates to sustainable development in the future. We also hope that by sharing news about Tzu Chi’s international disaster relief and charity work, we can inspire youths to contribute to our society.
Nobody can control the future, but every current action and decision has far-reaching effects. We hope that everyone can start protecting the environment and make good use of technology to maintain positive human relations, so as to enhance peace and safety in our ever changing society.
